Nofollow & Noindex unwanted posts in WordPress

Recently I was talking about preventing particular categories from getting indexed and adding the nofollow attribute to categories pages which are not considered as evergreen content.

So this thing is also applied to the pages as well because pages are the main thing that contains content and so de-indexing whole category from search engine will affect most of the pages located in the same category but what if you have assigned more than one categories for the same post and the other category is important to be indexed in search engine.

Now you can do that with robot meta plugin or if you are using SEO by Yoast plugin it is integrated into it. If you are using a robot meta plugin, you can simply select the link noindex, nofollow radio button.
