How to Insert Hyperlinks in MS Excel

MS Excel comes with the lot of feature for your office work & personal management work. You can also interlink two excel sheet together, that help you to jump to another sheet when you click specified cell.

Method 1: Using Hyperlink Formula

=HYPERLINK(link)

Using Hyperlink formula, you can add hyperlinks to your text in MS Excel easily. Refer below image for more details.

Follow these steps to add hyperlinks by using formula

Step 1: Open MS Excel on your Window Computer
Step 2: Select a cell or row where you want to add a hyperlink
Step 3: Now Choose Cell “C7” for result
Step 4: Type formula : =HYPERLINK(B7)
Step 5: Now press the Enter key to see generated hyperlink

If your want to create the hyperlink for any web address like www.google.com or if your type a valid web address in Excel cell, then Excel can automatically detect and create a hyperlink. To create hyperlink automatically in excel sheet, you need to type a valid web address then press “Enter” key to see your generated hyperlink in Excel.

Step 1: Open Excel Sheet on your PC or laptop
Step 2: Now choose Cell where you want to create hyperlink
Step 3: After this, Only type a valid Web address like, (“www.google.co.in”).
Step 4: After typing a valid web address, hit the “Enter” key to see your result

Method 2: Insert hyperlink text in Excel

You can also add URLs as hyperlinks in MS Excel from text files. To add hyperlinks using the text file. Open Excel sheet on your computer, then choose “Insert” option on the top bar of excel. In the Insert section, select “Hyperlink” option. Now follow these steps:

First of all, copy all Web address from Excel and create a .txt file on desktop

Step 2: Now choose Column where you want to add hyperlink from text file
Step 3: Now click on “Insert” button on the top bar of Excel screen, then select “Hyperlink” option
Step 4: In the popup window, click on “Existing file or Web page” option
Step 5: Then find and select your text file from your computer
Step 6: After selecting option, press OK button to complete this action

Method 3: Add email as a hyperlink

In this process, we will show you how to add email as a hyperlink in Excel sheet. This is very simple and easy. Only you need to type an email address in a cell then press the enter key to complete the action. Now follow these steps:
