The same mail I got in my inbox also. Actually I got notice because I have promoted one of the product that abuse and violating Youtube & adsense TOS, so they requested to remove the content within 72 hours.

I removed the entire post that was violating adsense TOS as well as all similar posts and contents from my site to make my site adsense violation free. As of now I just got mail for one of my blog, however I have removed all contents similar to the mentioned in the mail, from all of my blogs.

I have heard from lots of adsense publishers regarding banning of their adsense account without notice. Since I uses adsense more than 3 years, I think Google gives notice first to remove violation and then if no action taken by webmaster, they will disable ads serving to your site.

So If you are thinking to protect your adsense account getting banned, check the Google Adsense terms & condition & Adsense Program Policies from official Google adsense resource. Make sure you are not violating any of the terms and policies as prescribed by adsense and make your adsense account safe.

For example, Google adsense allows publishers to add maximum 3 ads units, 3 link units and 2 search bar per page, but If some publisher do not know about how many adsense ads allowed per page and add more than 3 ads units, it would be violation of adsense TOS and there is risk of getting your adsense account banned.
