When Blogger Contact the Advertiser
You can reach out to the companies in your niche to see if they are interested in sponsoring a post or review article on your blog.
From my personal experience, I have seen whenever I reach out to the companies for sponsorship opportunities for my blog, they ask for various things like Google analytics screenshots, traffic reports a proof of having a large number of social media followers. However, if you have a blog with good traffic, you can try reaching out to the companies that pay for a sponsored blog post.
When Advertisers contact the Blogger
This is the case when you make a good amount of money. Companies who are interested in sponsoring an article or a review will contact bloggers or influencers having a good amount of social media following or their blogs having good traffic.
They ask a blogger to share their own review in exchange of money. Usually, big companies like that blogger write their own review and feedback genuinely in a review & they pay them. But some small business, who want to grow their business faster, they ask a blogger to write the way they want. They sometimes pay more money to post a biased review on the blog.
You will need a good number of followers if you want brands to sponsor you.
There are many pros & cons of blog sponsorship, but if you post genuine & unbiased reviews in a professional & ethical manner, you are building trust among your readers. Don’t just post reviews for money, as readers are your network & your network is your net-worth.
A network that Connect Advertisers & Publishers
This is a very good option for bloggers who want to make quick money. There are so many blog advertising agencies that connect brands & bloggers. They keep a small portion of money from both the parties & connect bloggers to with sponsors or vice versa.
I hope you get an idea of what is a sponsored post. You can signup for those above networks & advertisers will reach you out if they are interested in offering you a sponsored review or a blog post.
Likewise, There are several ways that help you to get a more sponsored blog post for your blog & you can make money from your blog even if you have less traffic or followers.
Media Kit / Advertising Page
This is the most popular way of getting sponsored content & articles for your Media Kit shows that how professionally you represent your blog to the advertisers. They know, if you market your self in a professional manner, you will surely market their products too more effectively.
What should be there in Advertisement Page/Media-kit
You can include ads placement location from your blog, rates for sponsored blog post or review article or even rates for native advertisement on your blog in media kits. You can even design a media kit for FREE using Canva which offers a very good template for a media kit. You can check out this article to learn more about what should you include in a media kit.
Before you post your first Sponsored Blog post
Here are some important points that you should always keep in your mind before publishing your first sponsored post on your blog or social media accounts.
How to disclose your brand relationships
You should make sure to disclose your relationship with the brand or companies that pay you. It is necessary as FTC requires you to disclose the relationship, so make sure you put a proper disclaimer on your posts whenever a post is a sponsored or paid by any brands.
Whenever you get contacted by any brands, make sure you check the links, products or service that match with your audience or not.
Let’s take an example of casino brands, they are paying (actually throwing) money to the bloggers to post their link on their blog. If you are running a blog on lifestyle, you should accept the links or advertisement from the same niche clients only. If you promote casino brands on lifestyle blog, you will lose your readership or you are misguiding your readers just for few bucks.
Make sure you accept advertisement from the brands you trust or relevant to your blog’s niche & audience. Your audience is the people who trust you, so don’t break their trust by accepting irrelevant links on your blog.
How to create a sponsored blog content
Once you get relevant advertisers that pay you for a sponsored content, now it’s time to create a blog post. Suppose you get sponsored post from Adidas shoes, try creating content like “5 ways to wear shoes” or “10 things to remember before buying shoes” or something like this. You can also create an article like, “Adidas shoe review”, mention it’s pros, cons and your opinion as well instead of just praising brands.
Sometimes brand wants you to review their products, so you can wear or try their products, take photographs with it and post a genuine review on your blog. Don’t over promote products or service as suggested by brands, instead be honest & truthful.
How often should I publish a sponsored content
Well, it depends upon you. If you feel the advertisers or brands are closely relevant to your audience, you can post more but make sure your audience will love it.
Don’t just go for irrelevant sponsored content & make money just for the sake of money!
How do I get paid for sponsored content
Usually, various brands pay money via PayPal help you getting paid from all over the world. But they charge more money as currency conversation charges. You can also try Payoneer that gives good conversation & charge less money than PayPal.
I have been using both, when there is a smaller payment, I use PayPal & when there is a big payment amount, I prefer Payoneer.
How to make more money from a brand partnership ( I use this )
Once you have posted a sponsored review article on your blog, a brand will not sponsor you more content. As you have already promoted their product, so how to get more money from the same brands?
Well, during my blogging journey, I have developed a personal relationship with various bloggers. I personally know them and have worked with them. So after first successful sponsorship on my blog, I ask them if they are still interested in sponsoring content on more blogs like mine.
Usually, brands have allocated specified budget, so after a successful partnership, they will have to find more bloggers & influencers to promote their products. So you can negotiate with them that you will refer your blogger friends for sponsorship for X amount & they will be ready to pay you for that.
Let’s think you are asking for $10 per a blogger friend’s reference & you are giving him 10 blogger’s contact, you will earn $100 just from the reference.
Since the blogger friends will not get sponsorship directly from the brands, you can ask the blogger to give you X amount when they complete the partnership. So you have made $200 just by connecting blogger & a brand. Isn’t it the best way to make money online?
You just need good communication skills, so as you can convince peoples more effectively.
