As I already disscuss VLC media player is one of my favorite media player, because it plays almost all media files in it. So whenever we have media files, we don’t have to search for software to open file.You can perform many cool thing with your VLC media player without any tricks. e.g. You can play YouTube video on VLC player, Playing subtitles with movies, watching dual audio movies with VLC and many more. You know besides this al features, you can also able to use VLC media player to record screen of your desktop without any software.

How to record desktop screen with vlc media player :
Process of recording is quite easy, just open VLC media player from your computer and do the setting as mentioned in the steps below.If you don’t have VLC Player, you can get it from VideoLAN.
1. Open VLC media player and go to media menu from top. You will see next screen that should be configured as per the images.
Steps-1 : In capture mode, there will be three options. Directshow, TV digital & desktop. You have to choose desktop from there.
Step-2 : In desired fram rate for the capture, there will be 1 frame per second, modify it and make it 10 frames per second or 15 fps.
Step-3 : On third menu, click on show more options. It will display advanced menu bar there. If you want to play any audio files synchronously with your recording, you can click on play another media synchronously and choose files from your local drive to play with your screen recording.
Step-4 : Click on dropdown menu shown at play button and click on convert option from there.
2. When you click on convert button, next window will be opened, from there, choose display the output and click on browse.New window will be opened, give your file name there and click on save.
This is destination file, where your video will be saved. Now click on start button to start video recording of your desktop screen. Whenever you want to stop the recording, you can close the VLC media player and video will be automatically saved to your destination file.
