Design
The HTC 8X is a slimmer and lighter as compared to Lumia 920 and is convenient to carry around or talk on the phone for a longer time. Lumia comes with polycarbonate unibody which is not so light and feel bulky too. Placing of buttons is different and you will find that the HTC provides lock and the power key at the top that needs stretching of fingers. The Lumia has buttons on the right and camera plate very well situated.

Display
Nokia has a 4.5 inch screen that comes with 768 x 1280 resolution pixels. It comes with ClearBlack filter, while the HTC 8X comes with 4.3 inches and has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. If you want higher pixels then HTC offers higher pixel density. The colors in the Lumia are more saturated and provides for lower reflectance to better outdoor visibility, but it makes the screen dim as compared to the HTC despite the high brightness that it provides. However, you will find that the viewing angles are great on both the handsets. The supersensitive touch layer on the Lumia gives an added advantage as it can be worked on even with gloves on.

Camera
Both have front camera. The Nokia comes with 1.3 megapixels and the HTC is 2.1 megapixels. The rear camera of the former is 8.7 megapixels and the latter comes with 8 mega pixels. Both have a video capture resolution of 1080 pixels. While the Nokia does not have a Panorama, the HTC does not come with image stabilization feature.
The talk time provided by Nokia is 17 hours from a battery capacity of 2,000 and the HTC provides 12 hours on a battery capacity of 1,800 mAh.
